God Almighty for His guidance and protection to all teachers, students and other personnel of the college, for the successful completion of all activities lined up for the First term 2019/2020 academic session and all Parents cum Guardians and other stakeholders, for their undeniable support rendered during this first term 2019/2020 academic session.

ACTIVITIES OF THE TERM:
EXAMINATION
Terminal Examination:
End of term examination for 1st term commenced Friday 29th November, 2019 for all students and ended on Thursday 5th December, 2019.
SENIOR SCHOOL CERTIFICATE EXAMINATION
Enrolment for the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) commenced in October, 2019 and is still ongoing. All students of SS 3 should endeavour to enroll early to forestall rush and exclusion from the list of registered students.
Release of Results:
Students should access their results through the examination portal www.edocollegebenin.com. With their customized pin and registration number, results can be accessed online beginning from 20th day of December, 2019.
Award of Scholarship:
Engineer Aghedo Scholarship for the Best Performing Students in 2018/2019 session, was awarded to four deserving students of the school.
Overall best student in SS1 promoted to SS 2 - N250,000.00 (Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) 2018/2019. This award extends for the same student from SS 2 to SS 3.
Overall best student in Mathematics in SS 2 promoted to SS 3 for 2018/2019 academic session – N250,000.00 (Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira).
These awards were officially presented to the various recipients on the 22nd day of November, 2019.
NATIONAL INSTITUTE FOR CULTURAL ORIENTATION
During the cultural orientation and sensitization programme organized by NICO in collaboration with Hon. Engr. Ogbeide Ihama, Edo College students clinched the first positions in various categories stated as follows:
SEA-HUB
Edo College successfully inaugurated and participated in the SEA-HUB National Competition and Exhibition held on the 7th day of November, 2019 at Abuja, where the school was represented by the college Principal, two (2) Staff Advisers and three (3) students. Finished products displayed during the competition included, Liquid Soap, Brooms, Perfumes, Shoe polish and Air freshner.
RE: WORLD WATER DAY (Essay Competition)
An essay competition was held during the World Water Day 2019 Celebrations with the theme: “World Water Day: Leaving no one Behind,” hosted by the Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority. Edo College emerged as the winning entry. The entry was put in by Master Omoruyi Courage. He won the sum of N100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Naira).
SPORTS:
Students participated in a friendly football match against Baptist High School on the 8th day of November, 2019. The score line was 3 : 2 in favour of Baptist High School.
RESUMPTION FOR 2ND TERM 2019/2020 ACADEMIC SESSION
All students of Edo College, JSS 1 – SS 3 are to resume on the 12th day of January, 2020.
BOARDING FEE:
The school boarding fees remains N40,000.00 (Forty Thousand Naira) paid by Bank draft, obtainable from any bank and payable to the Principal, Edo College, Benin City. The Name of the student, Class and Hostel name should be written boldly at the back of the draft. All drafts should be receipted for at the Bursar’s office.
